Job purpose: To prepare and issue construction estimates for the various Projects. Profile: The ideal candidates should: • Hold, as a minimum, a Degree in Quantity Surveying or any other alternative and/or equivalent educational qualification from a recognised institution • Have at least 3-5 years of related estimating experience • Be competent in using CCS software. Main Accountabilities:  Plan, organize, and control construction estimating activities in a business-like manner.  Visit job sites and proposal sites as required performing estimates and gathering as-built cost data.  Prepare, coordinate, review and distribute construction estimates in accordance with Company policy and procedures, Workflow, and Work Instructions.  Re-estimate and issue construction man-hours and material costs as requested by proposal management.  Prepare lists of quantities of field work for estimating the construction requirements of a project  Update Unit Rates and Material cost databases to keep them current.  Update Labor and Construction Equipment Rates to keep them current  Prepare construction estimates for Job Change Notices (JCN).  Prepare reports and analysis pertinent to construction estimating as requested by Management  Preparation of cost plans to advise customers of budgets and check appraisals.  Assisting professionals to add value and reduce cost in design.  Development of standard specifications.  Briefing external PQS on BOQ preparation.  Developing a procurement strategy for each tender and chairing mid tender meetings with In house and professional teams.  Managing Subcontract supply chain packages during tender period.  Work with Construction Team to produce programme and preliminaries for the project.  Production of tenders for adjudication by the senior management team.  Assist in Preparation of Contractors Proposals  Participate in post contract activities such as customer meetings and reviews with the construction team to ensure margin retention and repeat custom.

 Make proposals and estimates for site establishment purpose regarding all M&E installation.  Verify and produce technical reports on M&E tenders received from subcontractors and suppliers.  Assist in the preparation of the tender programme regarding all the M&E works  Coordinate all the M&E installation works during mobilisation period.  Assist the Site Manager in the award of subcontracts for M&E subcontractors  Assist M&E coordination meetings and site meeting if required.  Coordinate the submission of shop drawings from subcontractors and ensure that the relevant drawings be sent to the consulting engineer for approval on time.  Coordinate the submission of programme of works from subcontractors and report to the site manager.  Coordinate the submission of samples from subcontractors for approval by the consulting engineer.  Coordinate the procurement of materials by subcontractors and advise the Site Manager of any potential delay  Monitor the progress of works for M&E subcontractors and report to the Site Manager on a regular basis  Ensure that all materials being used by subcontractors are to the required specification and as per approved samples.  Witness all testing and commissioning and ensure that test certificates are being supplied by subcontractor and submitted to and approved by the consulting engineer on time.

SITE ENGINEERS
 Ensure that any actions and activities assigned at the mobilisation stage are implemented within agreed timescales  Plan/schedule own work priorities and activities in line with the Section plans and Construction Schedule referring unresolved conflicts to Site Manager or Senior Site engineer.  Monitor the supervision of the work being undertaken by subordinates Engineers and Site Supervisors, taking any necessary remedial action to ensure full compliance with all relevant standards e.g. Contract documents, specifications, method statements, the company’s policy and procedures  Ensure that own work practices and those of colleagues, are compliant with the company’s Policy and procedures i.e. quality management, local labour laws and Safety procedures taking appropriate corrective action and/or reporting where non-compliance is identified.  Monitor/input into data collection systems, providing standard reports as necessary to ensure that superior has the necessary up to date information and data to effectively manage the project to meet its objectives.  During demobilisation, where directed, plan and arrange for the disposal of plant, equipment, materials, buildings and other assets.  Contribute to a formal review of the project with relevant parties on completion, to establish opportunities for learning/development to enhance future company contracts.
