Candy - BuildSmart Integration seminar - 14 May 2008

The presentation was intended to inform users of the merger between the two companies as well as show the seamless integration and synergy between the two software products - Candy providing the Estimating and Project Control and BuildSmart the sought after “realtime” Construction Accounting facilities.

Over lunch, there was a considerable talk about the implications of this new feature on the construction horizon and how to benefit from it.

Candy Version 2 launch - 4th February 2008

The Dubai launch of Candy version 2 at the Dubai World Trade Centre on 4th February was a resounding success. Two hundred existing and new users of Candy were shown around the new features and productivity tools of our software for the construction industry in the Middle East.

• Introduction to the design and philosophy of the new interface.
• Import of the BOQ directly from Microsoft Excel.
• Number Off pricing multiple villas of various types.
• Merging addendums into a priced BOQ without interrupting the estimation process.
• Control and manage multiple labour only and domestic sub contractors.
• Calculating the Cost to and at Completion of a project with Cost Worksheets.
• Analysing the Earned Value Cost Performance Index and Schedule Performance Index on a project.
• Integrating with an ERP system, specifically uploading directly into the CCS BuildSmart SQL database.
• Multi User pricing of the same BOQ simultaneously with colleagues.
